Purpose

This action list provides a comprehensive guide of how to undertake a written planning appeal. It provides easy reference to the key terms, to the rules for preparing for an appeal, to the timetable for action and follow up, and how to avoid common mistakes and frequently asked questions.

Benefits

The written representations procedure for a planning appeal is an exchange of the cases of the parties made in writing according to a rigid structure and timetable. It is by far the most common procedure and normally offers the quickest, simplest and cheapest way of deciding appeals.
