Purpose

This action list considers the role of planning in relation to a specific group in society. It is widely acknowledged that Gypsies and Travellers are poorly served by public services and that legislative and planning policy changes in the 1990s have resulted in a virtual standstill in public sector gypsy/traveller sites.
