About your site
This site has been developed for you by the Royal Town Planning Institute to assist its users in handling their jobs effectively and in continuing their professional development.
Users benefit from their learning being recorded electronically in a personal learning log and in receiving an online self assessment for each downloaded planning module. Users are able to use this log as evidence of their CPD.
Regional relevance

The planning materials on the Centre for Performance Support website have been checked for their relevance to the four main regions of the UK.
At the top right of the preview for certain planning modules you will see the flags of the regions to which that module is relevant. Each module also has a ‘Regional relevance’ section, which explains in more detail which region or regions the module is relevant to.
All business and management material applies across all regions, so the flags have been omitted on these modules.

Self-development: bite-sized, self-contained chunks of learning for personal development purposes.
Diagnostic: self-audits of existing processes, procedures, skills and knowledge.

Recording your learning
By entering your email address when purchasing content, the system can automatically set you up with an online learning log that will record your learning – which is useful for your CPD. Click on CPD Log in the top tool bar for further details.
Assessing your learning
Each planning module is followed by a series of self assessment questions (available at the click of a button) which allow you to check your understanding of the material. Again this is useful for recording CPD.
